Mahjong is not about winning or losing. Did you watch Andy Lau’s show “Li Gu Li Gu”? Most important is the ATTITUDE. When you are in a downfall, you will try to lose less. For example, dun tries to hit the “Qin Pai” when you know you are not in luck.
Some pointers you might want to take note:-
- Dun play with kaki that you always lose money to. They might be your “Ke Xing”.
- Dun play when you are in need of money. Nine out of ten times you will lose.
- Dun talk too much when you are playing the game. Normally good words dun come true. But bad ones always turn up the same.
- Try to put “fear” into other people game. Act very professional. Hee hee. For example, wow today my tiles very “swee”. I know you want this tile but I purposely keep it.
- Dun count the money. Bec it will make you stress about it.
- When you are down, try to hit all the “Da Pai” out early. So to prevent people to game big. And try to game faster. Or sometimes totally dun play. Keep all the tiles when people want it.
Lastly mahjong is an enjoyable game when you have the right attitude. The attitudes to accept losses with grace and winnings with humble.
